My name is John Hazlewood, I am from Austin Texas, and I am the CEO of CenTransit.bg. I am very excited and proud to be part of the team which has launched CenTransit.bg in Bulgaria. CenTransit.bg is a subsidiary of TravelStoreMaker.com which is a technology company based in Sofia providing Internet applications and travel content to travel agencies, airlines, and portals in more than 30 countries.

I became familiar with Bulgaria in 1994 when I was the manager of the Bulgarian World Cup team in the United States and organized their training camp in Austin, Texas prior to the team going to Dallas to play their first games. As you all know, Bulgaria advanced to the semi-finals in that tournament. In Feb 1995 I organized a friendly game between Levski and Nagoya Grampus Eight in Fukuoka Japan. This involvement with Bulgarian sports is what led me to establish an office in Sofia in 1996 to utilize Bulgarian software engineers to develop what is now one of the most advanced, modern, user-friendly, and content rich global web based travel technologies on the planet. In 1996 the technology was one of the first web based travel technologies of its kind, now it is one of the best and most advanced.

I have been considering launching a Bulgarian Travel Portal since 1996 but Internet penetration in Bulgaria did not justify launching a travel portal until now. With the launch of CenTransit.bg, Bulgaria has a travel web site that places the nation into the modern age of online Travel planning. What was once considered futuristic and only applied to more developed and westernized countries with high Internet penetration has now been launched in Bulgaria. Furthermore, beginning in 1996, it was created and developed by Bulgarians and our company is proud that our advanced and globally used technology was ‘Made in Bulgaria’.

In addition to being a global solution and one of the best technologies anywhere, it is also one of the most user friendly and content rich systems of its kind. CenTransit.bg has every airline including all low cost carriers flying in and out of Bulgaria. On a daily basis we are adding Bulgarian accommodations in order to provide you with a hotel system specific for your needs.
